Our Fantasy Picks for GW1

Schmeichel

Ivanovic Mertesacker Cedric

Walcott Lallana Hazard Barkley

Costa van-Wolfswinkel Rooney

Leicester are a good shout to keep a clean sheet against Sunderland.
Chelsea are the big guns and can't / shouldn't be overlooked.
Lallana & Walcott are fantasticly good pre-season.
S'hampton play the dreadful Newcastle, who will be booed off their home park in GW1.
Everton are likely to put a few past Watford & Barkley is good value.
van Wolfswinkel put a few away in preseason & knows where goal is.
Man Utd have epic mids now, and Rooney is the sole forward.

Get 'Em While They're Hot

When a player has done well in a few consecutive gameweeks, it is easy to discount them and believe you have missed out on their run of form. That if you were to purchase them now they would stop scoring goals, stop getting bonus points or stop keeping clean sheets. That they have done so well in the last few weeks that their magic touch must surely have passed by now.

This is not always the case.

Often players will get on a roll and rake in big points several weeks in a row. This week we are looking at Ronaldo, the most popular player in the game (in terms of % Teams Selected By).

In the last five game weeks Ronaldo scored 18, 1, 0(bye), 10 and 16. He is clearly on a hot streak and chances are it will carry over into next week as well.

Don't miss out on players who are scoring big points, just because "they must have peaked by now". If you can get that player after a couple of weeks of big performances, chances are they will still be worth the investment over the next couple of weeks.
